Medical Operations

The Medical Operations Core (MOC) serves as the primary liaison group to the ADCS Data Safety Monitoring Board, tasked with safety oversight for all ADCS studies. The MOC provides quarterly safety reports to the DSMB and ad hoc reports for safety monitoring as necessary. In addition to this, the core serves directly as a safety resource and monitoring group for clinical study sites.

The ADCS Clinical Trials Monitoring Team has directed the clinical monitoring procedures for eighteen completed or ongoing multicenter clinical trials, as well as three multicenter protocols to develop novel instruments for use in AD clinical trials. The number of centers participating in each protocol has ranged from 2-67, with the majority of protocols consisting of 20 or more participating centers. Clinical monitors are responsible for ensuring that the protocol is conducted properly at each center, and that center staff are appropriately trained in protocol procedures.
